How to Choose the Right RO system for your Home or Bussiness

Not all RO systems are the sameβ€”and choosing the wrong one can affect water quality, health, and even maintenance costs. Whether it's for your home or your business, the right system depends on a few key factors.

Let’s simplify the selection process so you can make a confident, informed choice.

πŸ” Step 1: Know Your Water Source

Borewell / Groundwater β†’ Usually high in TDS and hardness

Municipal Supply β†’ May contain chlorine and microorganisms

Tanker Water β†’ Often high in TDS and inconsistent quality

πŸ“Œ If your water source has high TDS (above 200 ppm), RO is essential.

πŸ§ͺ Step 2: Test the TDS Level

Below 200 ppm: May need only UV + UF purification

200–500 ppm: Go for RO + UV + UF combo

Above 500 ppm: RO with TDS controller or mineral booster is ideal

πŸ‘‰ You can use a digital TDS meter or request a free test from Mr. Filterwala.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ Step 3: Choose Based on Usage

🏠 For Home:

Family of 2–4: 10–12 LPH system

 Family of 5+:

15–25 LPH system with storage tank

 Small kitchen:

Choose wall-mounted or compact model

 πŸ’ For Business:

Offices, cafes: 25–50 LPH

Factories, schools, hospitals: 100 LPH and above (commercial RO)

Industrial use: Custom solutions (500–6000 LPH)

πŸ§° Step 4: Check Extra Features TDS controller or mineral cartridge

 UV protection for stored water

 Auto shut-off for convenience

 Filter change alerts

Stainless Steel/FRP Housing (for industrial systems)
